Right in the heart of the high Black Forest, only 600m from the southernmost tip of lake Schluchsee and its dam, that's where you can find our nearly 300 year old Black Forest farm house. Nestled away from the main road it is situated in a picturesque location at an altitude of nearly 1000m, right at the edge of the forest, surrounded by a small stream and the idyllic landscape of the Black Forest.

Staying in the Black Forest
Strittmattergut is a traditional Black Forest farm house from the 18th century and is located in the unique landscape of the high Black Forest. In the annex on the south side of the building, you'll find the holiday cottage, which invites you not only to relax and linger in the adjoining private garden, but also to go on exploring tours in the Black Forest. With five cozy bedrooms, the holiday cottage offers enough space for up to eight people.
Holiday Apartment
Sleeping in the former Main Living Space
Our holiday apartment is located in the front part of the building, which used to be the former main house. With three generously sized bedrooms, it comfortably accommodates up to 6 people.
We have kept many of the original details such as the antique large tiled stove in the living room, the traditional double windows or the classic wooden floors. Right outside the front door a secluded seating area invites you to spend time outside.
